Finish this sentence "10 years from now I will be...." (explain)

10 years from now I will be living on my own in a nice apartment making money by working somewhere in the science department. The reason why I want to do something in the science department is because it fascinates me with all the different things you can learn about. Science has endless possibilities to choose from, but the one that I am aiming at right now is Astronomy. I am so curious about what space holds and I want to find out more secretes of the universe that no one would have every dreamed of doing.

Yesterday I had you choose a global issue and you wrote about it on your blog. Today on your blog I want you to tell me about two different perspectives of your global issue. Are there people for an against your issue? Do people disagree on your issue? Is it a topic that can cause controversy? Look at the issue for two different perspectives. Tell me about those perspectives.

Most Russian ethnics in Ukraine would support the conflict against Ukraine because they want Ukraine to become a part of the Russian Federation. The rest of Ukraine would not support the conflict because they are fighting Russia and they want to stay as a independent country. This topic does cause controversy because there are some people in Ukraine that want this country to become apart of the Russian Federation and there are others that want it to stay as is. Citizens in Crimea voted unanimously to become apart of Russia but since they are occupying the land the votes do not count. 

Western countries are not supporting the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. They believe that Ukraine deserves to be its own country and will not allow Russia to take control. Since Russia is occupying the southern part of Ukraine any vote of becoming apart of Russia is not allowed by the western countries. This topic is very controversial because it could become a all out war for more than just two countries.

What do you want to know about this issue?Why did you choose this issue? Had it effected your life? Is it something you are passionate about? Explain.

The background that I currently have on the Russian-Ukraine conflict is that Russia was invading southern Ukraine in a city called Crimea, but on March 16th residents of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol- the majority of whom are of Russian ethnicity- voted overwhelmingly that they wanted to join the Russian Federation. Western countries claimed that the balloting was illegitimate because it took place under Russian occupancy. I chose this issue because the conflict between Russia and Ukraine always interested me ever since this started and since I never got to learn about it in school, I want to understand the whole story now. It has affected my life knowing that if I lived in southern Ukraine and did not support Russia and they came an invaded, I wouldn't be sure what would happen to me. This is nothing I am passionate about any kind of war or conflict between countries is dangerous and you never know what the next move will be.

Last week I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.

I think you wanted us to have unique looking projects that would be different from others even if they had the same topic as others and you wanted it to be as close to professional as it could be. The point of a PSA is to inform or persuade people, for example: Smoking is a common PSA. The reason they do not use just bullets and headers is because it would make it look plain and simple and no one would listen to a PSA that was like that so you have to make it stand out, catch peoples attention and make them understand.

These kids need to be taught in a orderly manner. They cant just be running around doing whatever they want. When they eat dinner they need to have there napkins in their laps at all times and they need to place their utensils in the right places. Why aren't they saying excuse me when trying to get around, what has happened to these kids? When will they have manner? What is happening to this society? Its going into total chaos!

What is a public service announcement (PSA)? What do PSA's do? What makes a good PSA? How can you get someone to take action after watching a PSA? What is you PSA idea? Explain in detail.

A public service announcement is like taking a topic and explaining why we need to fix this and it is usually about smoking, tobacco, seat belt law, etc. They try to fix the problem by telling people what it has in the substance or how much risk you could be in if you don't do it. What makes a good PSA is one that states the problem, lists all the reasons why it's not a good choice and how to fix your mistake. You can get someone to take action after watching the PSA by telling them that this is all true and enforce it to them by saying that you will help them get through it and they wont have to worry about it. My PSA idea is about Texting and Driving and the causes of unsafe driving by being on your phone and not paying any attention to the road ahead of you.

Tell me all about your 3 day weekend. Share photos!

Over the three day weekend I didn't do to much on Friday and Saturday because I was sick with a bad cold so I basically rested the whole time. On Sunday I had to get up at 7 because I had a all day referee course that I had to sit through until 1 and a couple hours later I had a basketball game that didn't go to well at the end. On Monday I did my homework and then had a friend over and we played basketball outside most of the time he was there.

My life so far at BVHS has been a good experience. It is totally different from middle school and I like it a lot better with all the new opportunities plus classes are more interesting to learn about. Well right now at the school I am doing preseason workouts with the Blue Valley tennis team. I am a freshman at Blue Valley High School. My favorite teacher is Ms.Weed which she teaches that happens to be my favorite class, Honors English Language Arts. What I am looking forward to the school year is playing tennis for the high school team.

What are your thoughts on this class so far? Easy? Hard? Informative? Frustrating? What have you learned so far? What do you want to learn? Explain yourself.

I think that this class so far is making me a little confused with all of what we had to do yesterday, I didn't understand what I was suppose to add on the layout and where to put it on the layout for this website. I would say that this class is informative. Learning on creating and using a blog that you post daily and editing your front page to customizing on what you want it to look like. What I want to learn in this class is something that would help me with homework, something that would make it easier to access it online.

Over the weekend I watched the KU game against Texas Tech; it was a 34 point blow out and KU was just dominating the court. With three minutes left on the clock, the reserves came on and the starters were having fun on the bench cheering and encouraging the reserves to score baskets. Also another thing I did over the weekend was play rec basketball with all my friends facing against a team call get rec'd when actually they got rec'd by us with a 11 point win.

Read this small newspaper clipping and then write a blog post about it. What are your thoughts? How does it make you feel? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

My thoughts on this news clipping, these were powerful words used by the Northland College principal for someone who has nothing and he wants those people to learn all they can and quit dreaming about someone else that will help them he wants you to help yourself. It makes me feel like there is a lot more hope in world for the poor and that they can do something and make a difference themselves without the abundance of money. I agree mostly with what he is saying I just think that he might of used his words a little to strongly towards the poor but he has a point and that point should make a difference especially to teenagers.
